Kenshō (ken-sho)

Definition
A Japanese term from the Zen tradition. Ken means see 'seeing', shō means 'nature, essence'.
It is usually translated as 'seeing one's (true) nature.

Specialising in the creative side of the business, Stelios has been involved in the artistic space from a young age, having grown up in a creative family and developed an understanding of what it takes to create something beautiful.

Throughout his professional career, he cultivated a passion for business that propelled him to achieve a director-level position in the financial industry at a remarkably young age.

With the knowledge he acquired during his 15-year tenure in the corporate world, he co-founded Kenshō. Together with James, they are forging partnerships with brands, companies, and organisations that share their passion for pushing boundaries and creating thoughtful, enduring work.

Manchester University (UK) modern languages graduate fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French, having worked with top brands at magazine publishers like Haymarket, Informa, IPC Media, Time AOL, Time Inc and more recently co-owner of International Boat Industry Magazine (IBI) which he sold to Boat International Media in December 2021.

Worked and advised on branding, advertising and events across a variety of industries within magazine publishing:  automotive, wine & spirits, lifestyle/luxury, transportation/containerisation, Pádel tennis and marine leisure (boating), successfully conducting business in UK, Europe, Asia, USA, Australia and China.

Nick is a Gibraltar born Graphic Designer with a lifelong passion for the arts. He pursued his interests at the University of Leeds, subsequently graduating with a degree in Graphic and Communication Design in 2017.

He has since gone on to work for a number of studios in both Gibraltar and London, developing his own personal style, a keen eye for detail and a distinct approach towards creative problem-solving.

Nick now heads up Kenshō's design team, taking the lead on all design-related client projects.

Charles is a Graphic and Motion Designer from Gibraltar, focused on identity and motion, with an interest in language and modular design systems.

He has worked freelance in both graphic and motion roles for a series of clients such as SEAT, FC Barcelona, AD Spain, Barcelona Design Week and more; as well as in-house as a Mid and Senior Designer for Mucho's Barcelona office between 2021 and 2023.

Simon graduated from Artevelde University in Ghent, Belgium in 2013 with a degree in Crossmedia Design, developing his abilities in graphic design, the psychology of design and print design.

Simon then went on to work with several design agencies across Belgium, focusing on print, branding, and corporate brand identities.

His love and passion for music adds a unique perspective to his design approach, cultivating musical inspirations when planning for and designing brand identities.

Her inclination towards fashion, music and dance give her a rounded insight on the visual world and design industry. Amy is the newest member of Kenshō's design team, working on developing her professional skills and growing her creativity.

While undertaking his undergraduate degree in Tourism & Management, Jordan began cultivating his passions for photography and marketing; later going on to complete a Masters degree in Digital Marketing at the University of Northumbria.

Here he had the opportunity to build upon valuable strategic digital marketing skills, as well as graphic design. Jordan currently works as a Marketing Executive at Kenshō, where he is involved in all aspects of the business. His time at Kenshō has provided him with the opportunity and experience in working with graphic design, social media marketing, Google/Facebook ads, email marketing, 2D animations and market research.

Philip Zilfo first crossed paths with Stelios Kyriakides in 2009 whilst they were both living in Cyprus. Their continued friendship eventually led to a fruitful collaboration when Kenshō was on the search for a video editor in the summer of 2020.

Coming from a long career in live musical performance, music production, audio engineering and a deep passion for video production, Philip provides the team with a keen sensibility for audiovisual production.
