Originating from Gibraltar, Melon Diesel appeared on the Spanish rock scene during the 1990s, achieving remarkable commercial success.
With a career spanning over two decades, they garnered nominations for the Latin American Grammy Awards and graced stages alongside renowned acts such as REM, the Manic Street Preachers, and Oasis.
Our team was tasked with crafting the visual identity for a concert commemorating the 25th anniversary of Melon Diesel's debut album, 'La Cuesta De Mister Bond', which attained Platinum status, selling over 180,000 copies.
Taking place at Gibraltar's Europa Sports Complex, the concert drew a capacity crowd of over 2,000 fans.
Our design approach took cues from Melon Diesel's visuals of the late 1990s, exploring blocky typography, vibrant colour contrast, and the inclusion of a long-lost local landmark: the pyramid, at what was known locally as "the last shop in Europe".
Physical deliverables were widely based on the event artwork, including artist merchandise, billboards, posters, stickers, wristbands, lanyards, passes, cups and bags.
